This is a good showing for a first jam, but oh man did I have a hard time enjoying this game. I like the concept and the animations and sound I can get over, but man do the controls leave a lot to be desired. I'm not surprised though because this very much feels like a game that was meant to be mapped to a controller. I may even give it another shot with joy to key, but as-is I couldn't compel myself to finish it. That being said, you guys all have promise and I hope you do another jam soon.

Ok, now that I've downloaded the game and thus properly experienced it, I feel like it's time for me to address my issues with the game. The biggest is with the way eliminating undesired modes works. This is a smart concept in theory, but due to the execution it becomes less of an avenue of player expression and more of a "you win the game" hack. This is because there is absolutely no reason not to eliminate 3 goblin modes so that all that remains is either ordinary of frail. The different goblin modes are simply too powerful to deal with, and the none of the other modes are that bad. I feel like if the game forced the player to disable one of each category and the goblin modes were a bit more reasonable things would be a bit more interesting. the only other real issue was that I found the flying goblins to be so much more of a threat that I pretty much exclusively focused on attacking them. Other than those two things, this is a great submission and the whole team should be proud.

Pretty impressive for a jam game but the game didn't scale in full screen in browser so I was stuck with the game being tiny on my monitor.

perfect game 11/10

First of all, I want to thank you for replying to my comment and I want to apologize. I never finished your game and only beat the first level. This was mostly because the sound effects were annoying me, but I have since given the game another shot. I have to say that I definitely enjoy your game more now. I still think that the thick outlines need to be toned down a bit, but I do appreciate the way you did things.

P.S. huge congrats on your success in the jam

I had lots of fun with this game. It has pretty much nothing to do with the theme, but I'm glad it exists

the art is fine, but I feel like the style was pretty inconsistent. That being said I understand that that aspect is pretty difficult in pixel art so big respect for even doing it.

Very well said. Additionally I found that in the constant movement the enemies would blend into the background.

where is curling mode?

This is great. Idk if this has full game potential but I'd play the shit out of it on my phone so there's that.

One of my favorites so far. Just tighten up the controls and add 4 player multiplayer and this would be a fantastic party game

interesting concept but I wish the movement speed was higher.

not very fun and genuinely cringe

cool idea, but the art and sound effects could be better

It looks cool but plays poor. big props to the artist and animator.

I had so much fun with this game. Shame about the bug but I'm not even sure if I could've beaten that part even if it was possible. I guess for transparency I should say that my friend did the level design and art, but trust me when I say I wouldn't hesitate to shit on a game he worked on.
